The Parochial Parish Council (PPC) exists to support our parish priest in four principal areas: Faith Formation, Financial, Community, and Charity Services. The council exists to foster participation of the entire parish in the life and mission of the church. It advises the parish priest in areas of pastoral concern and its members are representative of the whole parish. The council assists the priest by making recommendations on how the parish can be faithful in living out the mission of the church. It provides practical wisdom and consults with other parishioners. It should be rooted in prayer, working to enhance the quality of parish life and promoting parish vitality.
Our PPC meets approximately every two months, or more frequently if there is a need. Meetings are usually held at 8.00 pm after Tuesday evening Mass. Topics for discussion may be aspects of liturgy, First Communion classes, fund raising, social events, and charities to be supported. Anybody is welcome to join the meeting, and the intention is that members seek assistance from as many parishioners as possible whenever there is something to be organised.
