|11.02.2018||Children’s Liturgy||The children's liturgy team is looking for people to act as session chaperones a couple of times a term. There's no need to commit to leading a session (unless you want to!). You just need to be over age 18 and happy to provide a couple of references for the volunteer safeguarding process. We usually have great fun with our children's liturgy group - it's a lovely way to contribute to the running of the church!|
|11.02.2018||Preparing for Mass||I hope that you have found praying the Rosary before Mass has been useful in instilling the discipline of preparing prayerfully for the Holy Sacrament but I understand that some may prefer to prepare for the Eucharist in silence - So from the beginning of Lent, let us prepare for the Mass with silent prayer. Those who still wish to pray the Rosary can continue to do so in silence. The important thing is for us not to lose the habit of quietly and prayerfully preparing for the Mass. Please help one another to do this, by keeping as quiet as possible when we enter church. Thank you for your cooperation in helping one another to prepare properly for the Sacrament of Christ‘s Body and Blood.|

It has been brought to my attention that some are dipping the consecrated host into the precious blood of Christ at Holy Communion. This practice is forbidden. If you do not wish to drink from the chalice then just receive Communion in one kind. To receive Communion in one kind is to receive a full Communion. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. Father Frank

Please can parishioners (particularly parents of young children) give some thought to joining our children's liturgy rota? You are welcome to volunteer as a leader or a helper, or both! New child protection rules mean that we need to have two vetted people in every session we run, and without more volunteers we will have weeks when we are not able to run a session. The vetting procedure is very simple. Please speak to Louise Perry or Kathryn Driffield if you can help
