Dear Parishioners, I feel very privileged to write this Easter Letter. I thank you for your understanding and support during my past 4 years of service with you. I am so grateful to the Finance Committee, Parish Council, Choirs and different Rotas of ministries for offering not just your time but your wisdom and skills.

We are an Easter People. Our parish is an Easter Parish where there is a welcome for all. This is my deepest wish that more and more families will choose our community as their second family and achieve a deeper quality of life in that belonging.

Easter assures us that God never gives up on us, even if we give up on ourselves. The challenge of living out the message of Easter is not just believing that Jesus rose from the grave, but to believe that no matter our age, mistakes and wounds, we can begin each day afresh.

We are human and we cannot avoid falling into depression, bitterness and the tiredness that comes from age. Like Jesus, we too will have our crucifixions. Yet our faith in the Resurrection invites us precisely to live beyond these.

Belonging to our parish community supports us in our crucifixions, that come to us in life. As a parish community, we accompany each other day by day; not just on Sundays but every day. A writer puts it well - What the Resurrection teaches us is not how to live but how to live again, and again, and again.

In order to live again, and again, and again, I really long for you to join us all at mass on Sundays and for special moments, especially on the 6th April at 9.30 am when Bishop William Kenny visits our parish for the first time to celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation.

I am sure some people reading this letter do not worship with us regularly. I want you to know, from my heart, that I would love to have you with us. You and your family would be a gift to the community.

I thank you for your financial support and pray that you will continue to make the sacrifice in the coming months. May the Risen Lord continue to bless you and your family abundantly.
