We are not to approach God, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, one God in three Persons as a mathematical puzzle or a philosophical problem but, rather, as the Divine community of love whom we are called to know and enjoy for ever, for the one God, who has revealed Himself as Trinity, has made us for himself - to know and enjoy him forever. That is why, in and through sacred mysteries which we celebrate in the Eucharist, he gathers us to himself so that, by grace, we might share in the life and love of the Most Holy Trinity for ever

All those who are challenged by their suffering in body, mind or spirit are welcome to receive this sacrament of Christ's healing. This is a practice which dates back to the earliest Church and is encouraged in scripture, where it is written: 'Are there any who are sick among you? Let them send for the priests of the Church, and let the priests pray over them, anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will save the sick persons, and if they have committed any sins, their sins will be forgiven them.'

19.05.2019The Great AmenAs you will have noticed, most weeks, we are singing the Great Amen at the end of the Eucharistic Prayer. Some confusion has been expressed as to whether we should stand or kneel for the singing of the Great Amen. After the Great Amen we stand in readiness for the Lord’s Prayer. I hope this is helpful. Father Frank.
19.05.2019Parish Bulletin Rota - Thanks and Help neededAfter many years of being the stalwart of the parish bulletin editorial rota, John Perry has now hung up his editorial pen. Many thanks to John for his years of service to this task for the parish. The rota team now needs a replacement! The task involves bringing together the week's notices and liturgy arrangements into the standard template that you see each week and takes about 1-2 hrs of time per week. We aim to have 4 people on the rota at any one time so that each editor only does 3 months at a time. No previous editorial experience required! It just needs access to a Computer and email. If you can help or would like to discuss in more detail before committing please speak to one of the current editorial team: David Green, Godfrey Chesshire or Ellie Clarke.
